Saturday, February 20, 2006 Every month, I post a "Devil's Corner" article where I explain the game I've been playing or covering the best way that I've found. February 20th Devil's Corner: Sega Saturn I have always been a fan of the Saturn. I even worked for Sega Saturn Magazine, where I contributed reviews and interviews to the magazine. I wrote some major reviews, which were the game I've played the most of all. The Sega Saturn is one of my favorite systems because of the games. The Sega Saturn is a fantastic machine overall, not only for games, but for all the accessories that were made for the system. I think it would be hard to find a more versatile and smaller sized system than the Saturn. Many games were made for the system, even the ones not released in the United States. Though it is hard to find info on games for the Saturn, I'll let you know what I've found. What's New in the? Cart Commander is a free application designed for the Atari 2600 and many other Atari 2600 compatible game systems. It will track all of your cartridges, disks, tapes, CD's, etc… for each system that you have. If the console isn't listed, you can add it yourself so Cart Commander will still be useful when ever a new platform comes out! Cart Commander is a very robust and fast application. It quickly returns any information you need about the cartridges, disks, and other media in your system. You can browse by item, the system you are on, the item type (Cartridges/Disk/Tape), or the item name. Cart Commander can compare two lists to determine what is missing from each others lists. This is a great tool for people who trade cartridges often, or want to know what cartridges are missing from their collection! Give Cart Commander a try to fully assess its capabilities! While it would be very cool if there was an online service for maintaining data, that is unfortunately not available. WARNING: Cart Commander is a complex program. Use it at your own risk! So i was in the middle of a lengthy download and had the choice of which one to download first. I get no warning, the download simply starts and once completed, it informs me that it will not open under the Windows XP operating system. Not to mention, it wont even start under Windows 7 or Vista on the same machine. This is a problem as i have a co workers XP machine and one Win7 and i am unable to get it to work on either one. I can only assume its a malicious threat, considering the lack of text, in fact, the word 'tread' was not in the text file, just a little green dot on a DOS type background. My question is, how should i report this to either Microsoft or the developers of this program? I have the basics. Wii console, Wii-U, Nintendo DSi. Neither of these are listed but i am running the stand-alone client. When i go to Synchronize Cartridge List, i get a window that says "Items not found" when it shows up. I was given a bunch of old NES/Famicom Cartridges from a friend. The problem is, none of them will work. I wanted to use them on my NES/Famicom.
